Yet, the ideal time to visit Mahabaleshwar is from October to June. Summer sets in during March and lasts till mid June. The summer days are warm but the temperature goes significantly down during night. The maximum temperature in summer at Mahabaleshwar is recorded to be 29°C and the minimum temperature is 18°C. Mahabaleshwar is most visited during these 4 months of summer.

Winter extends from November to mid March when the climate is considerably cold and chilly. Temperature goes as down as 5°C and the maximum temperature in winter is reported to be around 24°C. But owing to its proximity with Arabian Sea, Mahabaleshwar doesn't experience any extreme kind of climatic conditions. Tourists throng this plateau even in this period.

Monsoon stretches from mid June till September. This season is marked by quite wet and damp weather when the city faces almost constant rain showers. Because of this we do not see much tourist movement on this hill station at this time. Rain infuses life in every single blade of grass and the terrain looks perfectly angelic during monsoon.
